Dear all in IAP,

This is H.K. Ng from the Hong Kong Division of the International
Academy of Pathology (HKIAP).  You can see me here
http://www.acp.cuhk.edu.hk/hkng/.

It is my great pleasure to invite interested pathologists to the
Molecular Brain Tumor Course organized by the HKIAP.  See attached flyer.

With the WHO2016 classification of brain tumors, our classification
is quickly moving along the path of molecular diagnosis.   We feel
there is an urgent need for all concerned with brain tumor diagnosis
to be updated.  The chief speakers of the course, other than myself,
are Dan Brat of Northwestern University, Chicago and Cynthia Hawkins
of Sick Childrens Hospital, Toronto.  Dan is the senior author of the
seminal paper in New England Journal of Medicine of low grade gliomas
in 2015 and Cynthia is part of all the outstanding work coming out of
Toronto in recent years on pediatric brain tumors.  All three of us
were part of the Consensus Group of the WHO2016 classification.   A
number of senior clinicians in Hong Kong will provide the clinical
significance of molecular diagnoses.

Kindly note this is a course and not a conference, so there will be
detailed handouts and plenty of opportunities of Q and A.   We do not
expect a big crowd so this should be "small class" and plenty of
interactions with the speakers.  Other than lectures, there is an
optional practical session.

I would appreciate if you can send it to colleagues in your division
who are involved with brain tumors.  Thanks.

Hong Kong is an exciting city well worth a visit and many more
visits, if you have already been.

Please do not hesitate to ask me any question.

Regards
H K Ng
