On the authority of Google, Lalaland is a colloquial term for “being out of touch with reality” usually due to bliss or ignorance. As La La Land it is a nickname for Los Angeles, California, the city where USCAP will hold its 109th Annual Meeting for the first time, February 29-March 5, 2020. USCAP is determined to define a new reality where ignorance is replaced by knowledge, as connectivity with USCAP family inspires euphoria.

The City of Angels is a city of vibrancy conducive to creativity, storytelling, entertainment, music and serious intellectual achievements. Come to USCAP to tell your story or discover it; come to absorb translational research as it moves from the bench to your eyes; focus on molecular studies, the genetics of neoplasia, new classifications; reinvent yourself as the pathologist you want to be.

Los Angeles is the city of the big screen, special effects, and performance. As a first-time presenter of an abstract at a platform session, project your potential as if you were auditioning on a world stage and prepare for the evidence-based performances of your career. The Academy exerts its special effects on growth curves, offers support on scripts to becoming a better pathologist and confers its own Academy awards for high performance.

At USCAP inclusion is a core value.

The educational content of USCAP will reverberate through Xbox Plaza, centrally located at LA Live! adjacent to the LA Convention Center, Staples Center (home to the Lakers, Clippers, Kings, and GRAMMYs, Microsoft Theater, and to substantial hotels, innovative restaurants and bars… the LA scene that will invigorate your days and nights at the world’s best pathology conference.

USCAP has its eyes on you as you navigate the exhibit hall, posters, platform sessions special courses, Long Course on Major Advances in the Diagnosis and Management of Breast Diseases, short courses, interactive microscopy courses, evening specialty conferences, hot topics, the Timely Topics lecture on CRISPR Technology, and the highly prestigious Maude Abbott Lecture delivered by the honoree, Professor Christopher Crum, Harvard Medical School, Killer on the loose? Precursor escape and ovarian carcinogenesis.

Immediately following the Maude Abbott Legacy and USCAP Honors, be seen at VISION 2020, A USCAP Gathering.

Los Angeles will open your eyes with astonishment to the world of USCAP.

See you there!
