Dear Colleagues
From September 15 -30 we offer the 5th EUROPALS pathology test for trainees and pathologists. The test constists of 80 questions, among them digital 13 images of gross pathology and microscopy and 10 virtual slides. The content of the test is comparable to other international pathology examinations. You can do the test at any time in the 2 weeks to come.

The test takes approximately 1,5 -2,5 hours.
You can do the test at in 2 (or more) parts if you do not have time to do it at one time .
This is the last test in the context of the EU Life Long Learning Programme. In the future the test will be run by the European Association of Pathology Chairs & Program Directors (EAPCP). For our final report to the EU it is important to come up with a substantial number of participants, so please join this test if you have the time,

Notes for participants taking the Europals LLL test.
- The Europals LLL Test is a 3 hour examination which can be started at any time between 15th September 2010 and 30th September 2010.
- Please go to the website: www.pathxl.com/europals and login
- Click Take Test below to start the test.
- Once you submit your answers you will not be able to retake any questions.
- Each question will have only 1 correct answer
- When the test ends you will be asked to complete a questionnaire asking for feedback on the system. If your browser blocks the pop-window please go to www.pathxl.com/europals/questionnaire.asp to complete the form
- Your results will be available to view at the end of the test
- You can check your results after the test has ended from Your Account -> Your Tests
Technical Help
- If an image fails to display correctly - refresh the browser using the F5 function key along the top row of your keyboard to re-download the image. This will bring you back to an earlier point in the test but your previous answers will be saved - use the drop-down menu to return to your question.
- Please be aware that the test comprises of both standard photographic (JPEG) images as well as Virtual Slides. JPEG images have restricted zooming.
- All Virtual Slides allow you to magnify up to x40
- The majority of questions will not have an associated image. On these questions a message will read “No slide associated with this question”.
- Please be aware you need not complete the questions in the given order. Feel free to use the drop-down question menu should you wish to skip a question and return to at a later time.
- To navigate a virtual slide using your keyboard use numbers 1 to 6 to change the magnification and your 4 arrow keys to move around the slide. Alternatively use your mouse and on-screen controls.
