The IAP Hungarian Division 6th Technology Transfer Conference: Cytopathology was great success

2011.04.10. - 18:48
The 6th Technology Transfer Conference: Cytopathology, organized by the IAP Hungarian Division, ended on Saturday. The Chairman of the conference was László Vass, the members of the Local Organizing Commettee were Balázs Járay, Eszter Székely and Tamás Székely. The programme was exciting, interesting and both cytopathologists and non-cytologist pathologists could learn much about this speciality during the three days. This was an exceptional event, and that was evident from the very first moment of the congress due to the personality and the experience of the invited speakers (Richard DeMay, Gabrijela Kocjan, Thomas Krausz, Fernando Schmitt, Kari Syrjänen, Philippe Vielh), and due to the enthousiasm and hard work of the organizers. Thursday evening the Rákászok Band had a gorgeous concert and Professor Richard DeMay gave a special lecture on Friday evening, between the starter and the main course of the congress dinner. Even though the wheather was nice and the last day was Saturday, many of the participants stayed over for the last quiz. The presentation of the Baló Memorial Medal to Professzor Thomas Krausz was a special moment on Friday morning. His Baló Memorial Lecture: „Multifaceted and hidden: cytomorphology of the mesothelial cell” was unforgettable.
